I've started a prop making *how-to* site of my own with a similar idea to you guys. My experience is in live theatre but all the basic construction techniques are pretty universal. I'm located in Australia and while there are lots of scenery, display and special event companies here there is no real forum for *makers*. It's all pretty fragmented and cliquey and there is not much contact between groups. I guess it's the same over your way. I'm hoping to get something organised in 2009 around Sydney but work is a bit thin on the ground so it has to happen slowly, Anyway good luck with your site development (which looks great!) and keep up the podcasts.
