All the references were acquired by taking snapshots during game play. You just set the camera up in the game and save the screenshots. Then we import those files into a 3d program and begin modeling the objects.

I currently am working on a helmet design like this. I have a mac book pro, how do I get these pictures? Please respond, that would be immensely helpful. Thanks.

Very nice, I am currently in my second year of the CAD program at my local comunity collage, though they seem to only teach the fundamentals of 3d modeling, but I was wondering how you milled the helmet, I am thinking you would do it as two halves or did you mill it in one go? I am wondering because I have access to a CNC machine with 12inch of Z and I would like to try making some armor with it.

Very nice, I'm currently taking a CAD course, and learning SW 2010, but I basically have to teach myself how to do more complex modeling, as the program only really covers fundamentals, of 3d modeling, but hopefully I will be able to do this level of work someday. I was wondering also what kind of CNC you have, and to mill it I'm thinking you would do it in halves or would you do it as one go? just wondering as I have access to a CNC with a Z of 12inch I was thinking of trying to use it to make a odst helmet also.

The detail is very thorough. It deals with a broad spectrum of ideas. Thank you for allowing me to see things the way you do.

That's pretty cool.
I've always wondered though, what does CNC stand for?

Seems like tons of xbox fanatics here, I am a fan also and enjoy to play video games… my gf says I play too much, but man it’s so pleasant. I’ve been playing cod: modern warfare 2 and halo for weeks and can’t quit! What would you gamers recommend? Anyhow, seems like a good site, is this wordpress? I’ve created a couple pages myself and it’s not easy. Thanks for taking time to writing this up.
